Most people, especially Myanmar Buddhists, are committing sin against Buddhism. But most them don't know that. So... what is it?? What are they doing?? .... in fact, they are doing NOTHING.
But in Buddhism, DOING NOTHING is a sin. Here DOING NOTHING means passing through the time without "mindfullness", i.e, in Burmese, Thadi. Moegyoke Sayadaw once said that staying free of mindfullness is a sin.
But how about us today?? How many hours aday we are doing Nothing?? Do we waste a lot of time daily??

Education Systems: Myanmar vs Singapore
Recently, I have come across parents whose kids are studying in Singapore Primary and Secondary schools. Some of the parents are working here, so their children, no other choice, have to study here. But some are different. Parents, either working in Myanmar or other countries, have sent their children to study in Singapore.
Well...parents want to give the best education to their children and some will sacrifice a lot of things to do it. The greatest and purest love we can see in life..!!
Wow..!!!! I was very surprised that students in Singapore need to take Tuition classes even when they are in Primary schools. Tuition fee for one subject for a Primary student may go up to S$ 200 a month.
I am just wondering what happen here..!!! Tuition classes, in my traditional way of thinking, are needed because ..... the schools are not enough. That was the same in Myanmar about 10 years ago.
But, in other hand, maybe the time has been changed. Level of competition might have been much stronger!! I don't know..!!!
For me, myself, I hate Tuition classes .... Is there any country whose schools are good enough to keep the Tuition classes away??? Please let me know if you know any...thanks :)
Nowsaday, having formal education doesn't guarentee someone much, ("much" means "much": not " a little"), because so many thousands of graduates are coming out every year. Education make people more arrogant with very low analytical and sensational mindset.
I see eye to eye with Mr. Rober Kiosaki that we cannot blindly rely on the schools today. I am just sharing my thoughts, and I'm not an expert in this area. You may visit RichDad/PoorDad website to learn about Mr. Kiosaki's ideas.
And remember what Bo Gyoke Aung San said: "Wisdom is not just in the book. It has the ability to see beyond the books".
Hope people can learn more than they are taught. Good luck to everybody.

Is 2012 really the end of the world?
I do not know who has started this scary dilemma. But I believe this is the message from the nature. And I feel that I understand it to certain extent and I know there are many people like me.
The message is quite clear, "We need to CHANGE NOW", as President Obama stated in his campaign. From the people and media around me, I notice that we are heading towards a "all devastating world" one day. The fact is that day will reach much sooner than later.
We forgot our origins. We forgot where the water comes from. We only know that it comes from the tap in our kitchen. We know we should save water because it can save money. But we really don't care much.
We have insulted our mother nature. We abused her geneorosity. People's greed has been exposed vividly in recent years. Today the world is greedy world. We are having much better equipments than 50 years ago. But intellectually or mentally, are we better than our ancestors 50 years ago? Or 500 years ago?
People have invented things and systems to fulfill their greed. The new things/systems make people greedier. Clearly this is a never ending cycle.... until..... we all are destroyed by something or someone.
Today we are not in the danger of WW III between countries, but the natural catastrophes and economics recessions. I can see the next war will be Nature vs Human, where we can never win. Possibly we can avoid being won and executed by living peacefully with Mother Nature.
Nature will give back to us what we gave to her. It is time to CHANGE NOW.
